Nigerian journalist, Kiki Mordi has opined that people, especially women can have multiple $3× partners so long as they’re practising safe $3×.

The journalist made this remarks when a twitter user posed a question about ‘what is considered shameful but people shouldn’t be ashamed of?’

In her reaction, she wrote “Multiple $3x partners”

She went ahead to explain her reasons. The journalist who is a known staunch feminist added that everyone has the right to multiple partners if they can practice safe $3x.

BBC Africa journalist Kiki Mordi who rose to limelight with her ‘Sex for Grades’ documentary, has bemoaned the fact that same sex marriage is still a crime in Nigeria.

The law which was passed in 2014 by former president Goodluck Jonathan, banned all forms of gay connections or marriage. The law places a 14-year jail term for any offender. Notwithstanding, several LGBT activists like Bisi Alimi, are still on the march to petition the bill.

According to Kiki Mordi on Twitter, Nigerians are on the wrong side of history for banning same-sex marriages.

“It’s almost 2020 & same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria. Like two people (of the same sex) can love themselves and want to build a family for themselves just like you & I but can’t because it’s illegal for them.

A damn shame! We’re already on the wrong side of history.”

Following the release of the #SexForGrades documentary, popular blogger and self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has slammed  BBC Africa Eye Reporter, Kiki Mordi, over the latter’s documentary revealing sexual harassment in Nigerian universities.

Mordi  went undercover, hiding her identity in order to lure Dr Boniface Igbeneghu, a lecturer at the University of Lagos and pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church.

The Senior lecturer was caught on camera demanding sex to help the reporter, who pretended to be an admission seeker, to get into the university. The university and the church have since suspended him.

In a new development, Ms Olunloyo, who had  been blocked by Mordi on Twitter, condemned the reporter.

Olunloyo revealed that BBC had earlier contacted her for undercover investigation work.

She criticized those correlating her to Mordi, saying she has been working as a journalist for 25 years, with CNN placing a camera in her bra to go undercover at a party in 1994.

In her reaction, Mordi said she has unblocked Olunloyo and that someone should tell her to stop shedding tears.

The BBC has also stated that threats have been made at her over the BBC documentary.

“I have received subtle threats since this work was completed but I am not bothered because the BBC takes the security of employees seriously”, she told Sahara reporters.

BBC released an investigative work yesterday on some African universities accusing some lecturers of sexually harassing their female students for sex. The work titled, Sex for Grades was done by BBC journalist Mordi Kiki.

Kiki disclosed in an interview with SaharaReporters that she has received death threats after the work was published but she wasn’t worried because her employers ensure the safety of their employees.

She said ‘I have received subtle threats since this work was completed but I am not bothered because the BBC takes the security of employees seriously. Before embarking on this project, the team prayed a lot and also sang because it helped to calm the nerves. But I had to go through the training I received over and over again because I wanted to get it right.’

She added that she’s happy the exposé was gaining the impact she wanted and also disclosed that one of the lectures at Legos University who was filmed sexually harassing a student has been dismissed.

‘The biggest goal of this work was to be louder than the aggressor because sexual harassment is very loud. I wanted it to be silenced. I am happy that a lot is changing already since the documentary was released and I can confirm to you that one of the lecturers at the University of Lagos caught sexually harassing a prospective student has been dismissed by the institution.’
