The Lagos police command has warned that it will resist any attempt to organize any protest in the State.

This was contained in a statement issued by the police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday, November 5.

The statement said that, the decision has been reached following an intelligence that was gathered by intelligence agencies that, some people are organizing a new protest in the State.

The police has warned any individual or group of persons planning to stage a protest to abort the plan.

“The command wishes to inform the general public that based on intelligence gathering from relevant intelligence agencies, some unpatriotic elements or group of people have concluded plans to orchestrate another set of violence in the state in furtherance to the recent Endsars violence, which has been analysed as dangerous and counterproductive.

“Premised on this, the command, therefore, wishes to warn any individuals, group of students or any groups who might want to stage any form of protest, either “peaceful” or violent, or gathering whatsoever, to desist as the police and other security agencies will collectively and tactically resist any security threats or threats to public peace which might be triggered by protest or protesters in Lagos State.”

The Lagos State Government has closed down schools in the State following the agitations that’s currently seen in the country as the youth have taken to the streets to protest against SARS and police brutalities.

A statement released today, Monday, October 19, the Head of Public Affairs, Ministry of Education, Kayode Abayomi stated that the schools have been closed due to the ongoing #EndSARS protest.

The statement quoted the state Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, as saying that the schools were shut down over “tension generated by the anti-SARS protests.”

“The Lagos State Government has directed all pupils/students in public and private schools to stay at home following the tension generated by the anti-SARS protests.

“A new date of resumption for all classes will be announced as soon as possible.

A 40-foot container filled with drugs reported to be Tramadol and Codeine was intercepted by Lagos State Police in Apapa Area Command.

Reports from various television stations say a team of custom officers and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency joined the Area B commander for inspection on Thursday where they found the container.

According to Channels TV, the container was intercepted on water inbound to the state and was taken to a banded terminal in Apapa.

The container is expected to be handed over to the right authorities for further investigation.

7 boys were caught in the act of s3xually molesting 2 girls after drugging and beating them mercilessly in Lagos Nigeria.

Reports from local news say the act was orchestrated by a girl (name withheld) said to be friends of these girls because she was teased of not being a virgin like them.

It is reported that the culprit intentionally invited her two friends (victims) to a party where she laced their drinks with unknown substance leaving them intoxicated.

She then called the boys to have their way with the girls but they were caught by security men in the area after the girls screamed for help.

The 7 boys and the instigator were arrested and are currently undergoing investigations, while the 2 girls are receiving treatment at a hospital in Ikeja, Lagos.

All the girls are are said to be first year students of University of Lagos.

The Nigerian police has arrested a 19-year-old girl for faking her own death in order to escape family pressure.

Margaret Adiya Ikumu, a househelp who resides in Lagos revealed to the police that she feigned her own death to escape from her mother’s incessant demands.

Spokesperson of the Lagos State police command, Bala Elkana explained that after taking her death, Margaret posted it on social media.

Her family’s attention was drawn to the post which also stated the deceased has since been by buried by her two friends.

The family further stated that they were able to contact the said friends who confirmed to them that their daughter indeed passed away.

The family subsequently made a complaint. In the course of the investigation, the police discovered that Magaret was actually alive.

Her employer saw the post in social media and caused Margaret’s arrest. When queried the suspect claimed she was fed up with her mother’s financial demands.

She also added she was angry with her mother and uncles, over their refusal to sponsor her educationbacter her father’s death some years ago.

She said she had wanted to save enough money from her work as a househelp and further her education if she had succeeded with her plan.
