One Nigerian lady with the twitter handle @ashlithecancer claimed not long ago on that same platform that her husband had surprised her with a brand new 2020 Lexus Ls.

She shared photos of the car and wrote;
‘My husband woke me and and told me we needed to go somewhere and that it was an emergency Well this was the emergency A BRAND NEW 2020 LEXUS LS. I am so grateful and in awe of you oluwasegun. thanks for spoiling me’

She said it was a thank you gift from the husband for making him a father but twitter users have dug deep to uncover that it was a fake.

Twitter users wrote in her comment section that a US Based car dealer posted the same photos of the car on Instagram and the lady had gone to copy those just for clout.

A team of detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Ikeja Police Station, CSP Gbenga Ogunsakin, has arrested one Miss Deborah Nwachukwu, 23, for allegedly stealing a Toyota jeep, cash and items worth N1m.

DSP Bala Elkana, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, said this in a statement released to newsmen on Sunday.

According to Elkana, the suspect is an indigene of Abia State and resided at No. 19 Irewale Street, Ipade area of Lagos.

He further explained that Nwachukwu stole the Toyota Jeep, two Samsung S10, wristwatch, designer perfume and some cash from one Mr. Patrick at MKO Street, off Toyin Street, Ikeja.

“Patrick (the complainant) met Nwachukwu at Shoprite in Ikeja selling some cleaning products for a company around the shopping mall where he invited her to help render home service in cleaning his house for him.

“They agreed for N20,000 as payment for her service. However, Nwachukwu said the invitation was not just for cleaning of the house but for sexual reasons.

“After the sexual intercourse, she noticed that the complainant was asleep and she quickly took his exotic wristwatches, some cash and his Jeep and escaped from the house after locking him up in the room.

“The suspect has been charged to court and remanded in correctional custody,” the DSP said.

A woman who was videotaped beating a 10-year-old boy before locking him in a dog cage has been arrested in Lagos, a police spokesman has said.

The 24-year-old woman, who has not been publicly named by authorities, was taken into custody after police analyzed the video and traced her to a specific neighborhood. She was later found there with the boy, whom she identified as her relative, Lagos state police spokesman Bala Elkana said.

The footage, which has sparked social media outrage in Nigeria, shows the woman flogging a half-dressed boy with a belt and then dragging him into a cage, which she locks.

Two dogs were inside kennels beside the cage where the boy was kept.

“She actually confessed that she was the one in the video and that the boy is a cousin who came to live with her after he lost his parents,” Elkana said.

Police said the incident took place on August 3 and that the woman claimed the boy provoked her after he became drunk and damaged her car.

“She told us that she got angry after the boy took some dry gin and broke the side mirror of her car. Then she locked him in the dog house for some hours. For this we are going to push to charge her with child abuse,” Elkana indicated.

The suspect will remain in custody until she is taken to court, police said, adding that the boy has been handed over to a government shelter in the city.
