Comic Nollywood actress Funke Akindele-Bello has been accused of physical, emotional, and financial abuse by one of her former staff.

Her accuser, Cassandra Owolabi who worked on one her movie project as a screenwriter alleged that the actress never treats her workers with dignity.

She also alluded to the fact that they are made to work under intense duress and extreme fear.

She went further to reveal that she has once witnessed Funke Akindele slapping one of her staff for a very flimsy mistake the latter made.

A little update: About a month ago, I posted a lengthy video of my experience working with Funke Akindele. But the video was quickly brought down as a bid to shut me up. Naturally as a content creator, my instinct was to make another one right away but I couldn't bring myself to it due to the fact that I touched on a really sensitive topic (depression) and some experiences I passed through while working for her which was like opening old wounds and I needed time to heal from that. I am indeed happy and relieved that I finally got to make another video in which I touched on a few things because truthfully, even if I was given a day I would still not be able to cover all the ills not just me but her staff face daily. The experience has indeed taught me that not all that glitters is gold, literally! Looking back I just wondered how I endured so much when we were deprived of so many things. For instance, we couldn't watch TV (literally, the TV in our lodge was taken away weeks after we resumed) and she mustn't walk in on you watching anything on your laptop (can't tell you how many times she randomly sent people to come check if we were sleeping or doing anything asides writing). I mean, how do you expect your writers to be 100% productive when you don't allow them some leisure time? It didn't take me long to develop bloodshot eyes because there were daysssssssssss when we'd write all through the night, no sleep. We worked under DURESS AND FEAR. It is always about the script, the script is more important than you and your health. P.S – For the few who asked why my character in the YouTube series 'HOUSEHELPS' was replaced, well… Because I chose to leave she asked that I be replaced (no surprises there). #IsurvivedFunkeAkindele #SurvivingFunke #freedom #speakingmytruth

A Nigerian couple will spend a lengthy period behind bars after they were found guilty of sexual assault.

The couple identified as 49-year-old, Shola Ogundare and his 35-year-old partner, Oluwafunmilayo Emmanuel were put before a court in the United Kingdom in 2018.

At the end of the trial, the two were found guilty by the Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

Ogundare and Emmanuel had been earlier arrested and taken into police custody for questioning over an assault on a young boy, a charge the couple pleaded not guilty.

During investigations, it came to light that the couple had also sexually abused a y9ujg girl in their home.

The judge sentenced the male accused to a total of 15 years for te sexual assault and his female partner handed four years for her cruelty to the young boy.

The prosecutor thanked the court for such a strong sentence adding that it will send a note of caution to other evil perpetrators of child abuse.

“First and foremost I would like to commend the victims for their strength in seeking help and disclosing what had happened to them. Both children have demonstrated incredible courage throughout our investigation and this trial, especially considering their age.

Abuse of this kind often has a long-lasting impact on victims but I sincerely hope that they can move forward with their lives – free from the fear of being abused.

Ogundare subjected these children to a prolonged campaign of abuse. Under the pretence of punishment, he sexually abused one of the victims to satisfy his most repulsive desires.

Throughout this investigation, he has shown no remorse and the things he has said to try to evade justice have been beyond comprehension.

“Emmanuel also subjected the children to physical abuse and has also shown no remorse. She has repeatedly defended Ogundare and tried to discredit the victims.

“I hope today’s result sends a clear message to members of the public and offenders alike that police officers will do everything in their power to see justice done.”

There is strength of a woman and then there is tyranny of a woman. What you’re about to see is a fierce mixture of both.

In this video circulating on social media, a lady (either angry, crazy or drunk) attacks a man standing next to his car.

https://twitter.com/Pastor_CVB/status/1219871076504821762?s=20

At first, she jumped onto the hood of his car and with her feet damaged the windscreen wipers.

Then, she jumped down and tried to damage the car from inside. Men however defend their cars like Roman soldiers of old at war.

Before the lady could get crazy in the car, the man managed to swiftly pull her out and throw her on the street.

The angry lady however was not finished with him. She got up, gave him a blow and decided to take up a new weapon – her teeth.

From the video, you can hear the man screaming in pain as the lady bites him like an animal. All this time, people are recording this.

To make matters worse or better, you can hear a man telling his fellow brother not to hit the lady despite the attack.

The helpless man had to take the blows and bites so that he isn’t branded a batterer of women.

From the video, it is not clear what the relationship between the woman and man is. She could be his girlfriend or just a total stranger.

Whatever the case, the poor man left the scene badly hurt but with gentleman points.

In truth, the mere shame of reporting to the police an attack from a woman imprisons men being abused by women.

The big question is, how are men suppose to defend themselves from physical abuse from a woman?
