A Ghanaian lady has given a chilling account of how a huge towel was left in her tummy after a caesarean section for nine long months at one of Ghana’s popular and controversial health facilities.

According to the woman, this happened in 2015 when she was put to birth through C-Section at the luxurious Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital).

Narrating her horror ordeal on Accra-based Angel FM, she revealed that after the surgery, she had been vomiting frequently and it all looked very green as if she had eaten raw green grass.

This alarmed her to go back to the Ridge hospital not less than twice but she was told that nothing could be done about her situation because it had been nine months after the operation.

Her deteriorating condition prompted her to seek solution at another hospital she referred to as the Rock hospital where an X-Ray scan detected that something was lying inside her tummy.

And this prompted a corrective surgery where Doctors realised that a huge towel used during the earlier operation at Ridge Hospital was left inside her and her tummy was stitched over it.

Obour Forcefully Demands His Late Father’s Autopsy Report From Ridge Hospital – Read Full Letter Here

Bice Osei Kuffour AKA Obour has served a letter to the Ridge Hospital requesting an autopsy on the remains of his father, Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour.

Obour seeking to lay to reset controversies erupting on the true cause of his father’s death on March 27 made the request through his lawyers, Smith & Adelaide.

The letter addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital asked the health facility to provide the necessary postmortem to determine the cause of death of Mr Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour.

The letter also directed the health facility to allow the former MUSIGA President contract the services of an independent medical officer to conduct the autopsy if the hospital is not in the position to do it.

A portion of the letter read,
“Our Client has instructed us to demand on their behalf, the autopsy report confirming the cause of death of the deceased. If the medical faciltiy is not in the position to undertake the autopsy within the shortest possible time, our client will offer to contract an independent medical officer to undertake the autopsy..”

This has become necessary after many reports in the media space alleged Obour’s father died as a results of the deadly Coronavirus.

Obuor Clears The Air On The Death Of His Father Due To Coronavirus At Ridge Hospital

AfricaCelebrities.com reported not long ago that a patient whose son is a popular Ghanaian musician tested and died of coronavirus.

The story revealed that the patient failed to disclose his travel history which delayed the necessary care that should have been given to him as a COVID-19 infected patient.

In fact, due to that the story further disclosed that about twenty (20) healthcare workers who came in contact with the patient have been put in isolation.

As it turns out, the popular Ghanaian musician in question is Bice Osei Kuffuor who is known in showbiz Obuor.

In a statement, Obuor has clear the aired on the events which led to his father’s demise due to the deadly coronavirus. His statement reads as follows:

“With sadness and a heavy heart I announce the death of Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour my biological father.

Nana returned from UK on 19th March after his yearly visit to the family. Upon his return he was fine but began coughing on Sunday 22nd.

We arranged for his blood sample to be tested and he tested positive for malaria. We began treatment for malaria but his condition got worse.

We arranged to bring him to Accra to be tested for Covid 19 at Ridge Hospital on Wednesday. They informed us that his report will be ready on Friday but we should keep him in quarantine which we did.

On thursday night he had extreme difficulty with breathing so we called the Ambulance service and informed them of his condition. We told them the patient has tested for COVID 19 and awaiting his results so they should come along with appropriate apparel.

The ambulance team took him to Ridge Hospital around 11pm on thursday March 26. We informed the health team at Ridge of his condition and also informed them he had earlier taken a test for Covid and awaiting results.

Late this afternoon , the Drs informed us that he is likely to be a confirmed Covid case and as such we should take steps to do a contact trace and quarantine ourselves. Sadly he passed on this evening.

Under the circumstances I understand nobody can come over to pay their respects and commiserate with our family as we are all on a 14 Day quarantine though I and my assistant who had close contact with him have both tested negative for COVID 19 as at today 27th March.

These are the true facts about my fathers demise.”

Patient Who Tested Positive And Died Of Coronavirus Lied, About 20 Healthcare Workers In Isolation At Ridge Hospital

We say it as a joke but if you really think about it, Ghana is fighting two viruses at the moment- the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and idiots.

And believe it or not, the latter will lead to more people losing their lives than the coronavirus would have caused.

Reports reaching AfricaCelebrities.com indicate that about twenty (20) healthcare workers are currently in isolation after treating a patient who has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.

According to sources, the patient who reported to the Ridge Hospital in Accra was admitted on Thursday and was showing signs of the coronavirus but didn’t reveal his travel history.

As you may be well aware, people with recent travel history are highly at risk of being in contact with the virus and therefore that information is essential to identify potential positive cases.

However, in the case of this patient- nobody knows whether it was out mere idiocy, the patient whose son is said to be a popular Ghanaian musician failed to reveal his travel history.

He was admitted at the resusciation center and so obviously, this delayed the needed care and attention he deserved to be treated for coronavirus.

However, it was later discovered after being tested for COVID-19 that the patient was positive. But it was too late because the result came in after he died.

Thus, this result necessitated that about twenty (20) healthcare workers who had come in contact with the patient to be put in isolation.

Needless to say, this is how the virus spreads. Nobody would know who is infected until tested.

Therefore it is only reasonable that patients are completely honest to the healthcare officials who are at the frontline administering care to infected people.
