Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has served notice to her social media followers who are bent on giving her a tough time on the various social media platforms to stay away from her if they don’t want to receive their own dose in equal measure.

The actress took to her twitter page to serve those social detractors with a stern warning.

She warned that she will not take any trash from anyone on social media going forward. She tweeted: “Notice. I am not taking trash from dimwits this period”

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has taken an aim at the political class of Nigeria, noting that majority of them are educated but not enlightened.

Her comments come at the back of the recent comments made by her former colleague in Nollywood, Desmond Elliot.

Desmond said in the Lagos State House of Assembly that there will be no Nigeria in the next five years due to the abuse of social media by the youth.

In reacting to his comments, Rita Dominic opined that, those voted into office are not enlightened – the reason why they make some of their utterances.

She took to twitter and wrote: “You can be educated yet not enlightened. Majority of those we vote into office are obviously not the latter. Get your PVC out. Stop staying home during elections. We must remove people who do not believe in the democratic process. #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutalityInNigeria”

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has taken to her twitter page to address those who are fond of perpetrating evil just for money or employment.

She advised that there’s a point in one’s life where you have to listen to your conscience and beliefs and not allow yourself to be used as a tool to do evil.

She added that, money, employment, power or status can’t wash a person clean if you’re evil.

She tweeted: “At some point it has to be about your conscience, your integrity, your humanity, your own beliefs. If you work for and with perpetrators of evil, money, status, employment and power cannot wash you clean.”

Rita Dominic’s message comes at a time when politicians are hiring thugs to disrupt peaceful protesters and to cause life threatening injuries to some of them.

The State security operatives have also been used to harass, maime and kill some civilians in the two weeks old protest.

Beautiful Nollywood thespian, Rita Dominic has vowed to unfollow anyone who tries to discredit the #EndSARS protest currently ongoing in Nigeria.

Nigerians have been protesting against police brutalities for almost a week now. They demand that, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad – SARS, of the police force, should be scrapped.

The actress acknowledged the orderly manner in which the protest has been organized and added that it is the most well coordinated protest she has ever witnessed in her life.

She underscored the importance of the exercise and implored all citizens to join the protest in order to end police brutalities against citizens.

She made this comment on her verified twitter handle and concluded her message by saying that, this was the first time voices of “real people” are being heard in Nigeria.

She tweeted: “I will unfollow everyone that insists on discrediting the organization of these protests. I have been supporting different demonstrations and protests over the years. This is the best organized. For once, I feel that the voices of real people are being heard.”

Rita and I met when I was just beginning to embrace fame and the comforts that came with it. The laurels, the distraction, even the destruction. And Rita is not the kind of woman that hangs around a lot. We were very deep with each other. We still are great-friends though we don’t speak constantly. As a matter of fact, it may surprise you that we haven’t spoken to each other in over two years.

“But when we meet, we are cordial, and respectful. There is that deep-rooted thing of a man or woman you shared something with”. I don’t think Rita at that time was looking at longevity, truthfully. Don’t forget, I was the kid with the crazy afro, ready to start a fight anywhere. My life was about having a good time and as many conquests as possible. So, who wants that kind of guy?”

“I don’t think so, we come from the same circle, she knows too much of what I know and I think I know too much of what she knows. You need that opposite attraction to survive the kind of life I live now. I want to come in and hear about your day.

I need to learn new things from you, I need you to teach me new tricks, and I need to, at least, pretend to be interested in what you are talking about in the evening. A dead giveaway is the fact that I do know what you are talking about, I can fathom and predict it and I can end it, I don’t want that kind of life. I want someone that is entirely different from my world, someone that can bring me to order. The amazing relationship I had before now didn’t work for special reasons and it is obviously because of that. I don’t want a drama queen, I just need a woman that will come to me with something different all the time, I don’t want a predictable life he told the host.
