For some strange reason, Ghana has been grappling with one secessionists group since last year who are seeking to declare independence for the Volta Region- and rename it Western Togoland.

The country is treating the actions of the members of this group as a threat to national security and have effected the arrest of some persons said to be connected to the group.

While the issue surrounding the Western Togoland secessionist group is yet to be over, another group has emerged seeking to separate the Greater Accra Region from the country and declare it an independent nation.

In the video below, the leader of the group who identified himself Jentse Nii Ogblesisabi I, said their organization is called Ga Independence Movement otherwise known as Ga Era Movement.

Stating the mission of the group, he said: “This independence movement is fighting to separate the Greater Accra Region from Ghana.”

He explained that: “We are fighting to have a nation of our own where we decide our destiny. We cannot put our destiny in the hands of foreigners.

“Our language is dying. Our land is being taken over. Our way of life is disappearing.”

The leader continued that “we won’t agree [speaking in Ga- a local language]. We say no. We don’t want in five years time, for our language Ga to disappear from the languages of Ghana or the world- it’s happening.”

“So this separation from Ghana, we’re going to safeguard our language, our land and our way of life.

Having stated their mission, he further stated that: “So I, Jentse Nii Ogblesisabi I, I’m the leader [of this group] and I’m not afraid of nobody.”

And being cognizant of the consequence of his declaration of independence for the Greater Accra Region, he went on to say that: “You can arrest me if you want. You can kill me if you want. I’m here saying this.”

He directed his message to those he wish for them to hear, as follows: “This is to you Akufo-Addo [Ghana’s president] and this to you Osei Tutu (sic) or whatever his name- Asantehene- tell your people.”

Popular musician Akothee aka President of single mothers has not always been a single mother.

She recently took to her social media to explain why and how she ran away from her husband Papa Oyoo.

“This is the day I ran away from my matrimonial home with my uterus,” wrote Akothee.

“I did it just to protect my children from seeing me unhappy every single day because the love between me and papa Oyoo was gone.

It was 2014 when I left with the kids for Nairobi and left the house in Mombasa and lied to papa Oyoo that I was dropping the boys to school!

That was the last time he set his eyes on us, until 2015. Please don’t copy me. I was already financially stable by the time I was making this decision.

I could afford the lives of my children without expectations from anyone and sticking into anyone.

Akothee went ahead to warn men to never underestimate the power of a woman.

“Women are dangerous Angels. Treat them with a lot of respect. We make your homes homely with our flowers,” she wrote.

Akothee also mentioned that she does not understand how women can run away from husbands without their children; or worse kill their spouse when the love is gone.

” I Esther Akoth Kokeyo will leave with my uterus any time any day with self respect.”

Akothee however told women to stay in their marriages if they are working. She shared that it is not easy finding a man especially with many children.

Following that, he ignored her calls sparking her need to expose him. She however admitted that she was the one who sought after him despite him being a married man.

Tanzanian star Rayvanny has broken up with his wife and baby mama Fahyma aka Fahyvanny. Apparently, over the weekend Rayvanny got a text from Fahyma telling him to forget about her and their son.

The text sent by Fahyma in Swahili translates to “Count me and Jay as dead in your life. I will fight and I will win. I will not lack money for food but just consider Jay and I dead to you.”

Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi relocated to Trabzonspor in Turkey last month but the decision is allegedly not going well with his girlfriend and babymama, Olga Dyachenko.

It’s been reported by AOIFootball.com that the situation could go sour because Olga told Mikel that she will no longer come to Turkey with the couples’ kids. A source has revealed that the girlfriend of the player warned him against the move.

Now it seems that the girlfriend and kids will not be coming to visit, which means the player will only be able to see his kids during Christmas break in December.

The source also disclosed that there is fear that this situation may see him struggle in the Turkish league due to his bad mood. It is left to see if Mikel Obi will sign out of his contract.

Meanwhile the midfielder is expected to take part in later Thursday night when Trabzonspor welcome AEK Athens into the Europa League, holding a 3-1 advantage in their bid to reach the group stages.
