Cop Kills Himself Whiles on Duty
A policeman stationed at Akim Swedru in the Eastern Region has shot himself dead whiles on duty. The sad event happened at a popular petrol station, Duke Petroleum where the deceased cop, Lance Corporal Alhassan Asare was at guard post.
It is believed the cop killed himself as he was seated with the rifle between his thighs with the mouth next to his chin. He was found by a colleague cop who came to visit him. There were blood stains on his uniform and around the place.
Investigation is underway to unravel the reason for such a dastardly act whiles the corpse has been sent to the morgue for preservation. The family of the University of Cape-Coast alumnus has also been briefed.
