NDC Primaries- Executives Address Media
The parliamentary primaries of the main opposition National Democratic Congress is slated for this Saturday, August 24th. The national executives had a press conference today to inform the media on a number of issues.
The primaries will be held in 234 constituencies across the country. No primary will be held in 36 constituencies as there is no other candidate except the incumbent or the candidate is going unopposed. The remaining five have been suspended pending appeals from disqualified candidates.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the party gave the five constituencies as Ellembelle, Asawase, Fanteakwa North, Yilo Krobo and Mpohor. He entreated the delegates to go and vote in a peaceful manner and allow the Electoral Commission space to manage the entire process.
