Maid Arrested For Stealing Madam’s Money Few Hours After Being Employed
A young woman has been arrested by the Lagos police for stealing money from her madam’s visitor. Franca Amaha, from Cross River state got employment earlier in the day as a house maid.
She accompanied her new employer to the airport to pick her younger sister who was in the country for some holidays. While the visitor was in her madam’s bedroom having a chat, Franca sneaked into the guest room and ransacked her luggage.
Franca made away with a sum of 1.6m naira ($4,500) in different currencies. The Lagos Police said after the complaint was lodged by her madam she was traced and arrested at her friend’s house. When interrogated, she claimed she needed money to pay for her mother’s medical bill.
