Thousands Flee As Curfew Is Imposed On Cameroon’s Anglophone Regions
Thousands of people are fleeing the two Anglophone regions of Cameroon in anticipation of the three week curfew announced in the area.
The curfew was announced by separatist leaders who are retaliating the life imprisonment handed down their leaders.
Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and nine other members of a group who declared the secession of Ambazonia (Anglophone Cameroon), were last week jailed for life by a military court.
The group has been in an armed struggle for secession of their area from Cameroon. They accused the French speaking majority of discrimination.
