President Sacks Aide For Testimony In Church

The president of Sierra Leone, Julius Maado Bio has sacked his chief of protocol officer, Fatmata Kargbo, after she appeared on TB Joshua’s television channel giving testimony in his church.

Fatmata Kargbo was featured on Emmanuel TV testifying of how God blessed her with her recent selection as an aide to the president and how she has been able to complete her house which was abandoned for several years.

Her action ignited an outrage in Sierra Leone. President Bio thus proceeded to cancel her appointment and directed the Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate her finances.

A letter sent to Kargbo by the AAC says it will be looking through her previous asset declarations to see if there were any infractions on the defendant part.

“The Anti-Corruption Commission has opened an official investigation into the conduct of the official and her testimony. We will also look at her source of wealth in acquiring her house and other properties. If it contradicts the anti-corruption act or we find instances of unexplained wealth, she will be charged to court and will be asked to pay a fine.” the AAC letter to her read
