Sister Derby And Medikal Breakup: We Saw It Coming – Wanlov Reveals

Ghanaian musician known in show business as Sister Derby, is the sister of popular hiplife musician Wanlov the Kubolor.

Wanlov has disclosed some details of his sister’s relationship with Medikal in an interview on Joyfm’s CosmopolitanMix.

He said he knew when the relationship between the two started but he did not try to stop it because Derby is an intelligent person, suggesting that he supports her decisions.

“I don’t think she’s had a bad boyfriend before- somebody who I didn’t like. I think all her boyfriends were good”, he said.

He further revealed, rather shockingly, that Derby has had quite a lot of ex-boyfriends; about 30.

When asked what he made of the way Derby and Medikal’s relationship turned out, he said:

“Oh I mean we saw it coming a while ago. The song, ‘Kakalika Love’- that she released was to kind of say her part- it was released 9 months or so ago before the breakup.”

By this, Wanlov is suggesting that the musical duo’s affair was bound to end and they had knowledge of it 9 months prior to it happening.

Asked whether that means the relationship ended before it became public, Wanlov noted that:

“You find out your partner is licking a different plate [implying cheating] and then you are like is it true or it’s not true- and he says oh I won’t lick again, until you find out it is actually happening”

Wanlov further revealed that Derby was heartbroken after the break up as was he.
