Beware: Beautiful Girls Will Drug You in Nairobi Clubs and Steal Your Money

Kenyans on Twitter recently took to sharing their awful experiences of being drugged in night clubs. The Mchele chronicles were shared widely by Kenyan men and one thing is clear, ladies are out for blood in clubs so watch out.

So, how does this drugging usually happen? It’s basically the same everywhere. Most men reported that when they went to the club, they eventually found themselves with female company. Some of them remembered the events of the night to a certain point where memory loss kicked it. Others have no memory of the previous night. The common thing is that they all woke up 2-4 days later either in their houses or elsewhere. By this point, the men had no money, wallets, phones or worse, house hold items.

One of the individuals sharing his story on Twitter wrote “I was with a friend in Club254 Kitengela. Three ladies and 1 guy asked to join our table. Being good people we said no problem and watched our soccer match in peace. All I remember is ordering for the second beers. From that point on, woke up in a Verandah in a lodging at 1pm next day. We had withdrawn our MPESA cash and ATM like 40k. We had no belts and jackets. You should have seen us at the Kitengela stage begging kondas to give us a lift back to town.”

Another man wrote ” I was drugged pale club Switch Kasarani in May this year and woke up next day kitu 8pm, wallet simu and ATM cards gone. I was minus 180k from my KCB and Equity accounts. They even withdrew money from my Sacco account. Around 11k. Then wakatumia kila msee in my contact list that I have an emergency and need 5k. In a single day I lost Sh. 200k. Life happens. From then on, I fear clubbing. “
