Veteran Ghanaian Highlife artist, Kontihene, according to his Instagram post today, has switched from the music scene and is now venturing into coconut business.

Is Kontihene supporting rumours that the Highlife music has died in Ghana? At this year’s VGMA’s, veteran Highlife musician Amakye Dede crowned sensational artist, Kwame Eugene as the new King of Highlife in Ghana.

This coronation jostled the ego of some musicians immensely, and judging from Kontihene’s newest post, it appears he has left the music scene for the younger ones.
