Nigerian Man Sentenced To 129 Years In Jail Plus Six Consecutive Life Sentences For Human Trafficking And Rape In South Africa
A court in Pretoria, South Africa, has sentenced a Nigerian man to 129 years in jail, after which he will serve six consecutive life sentences for rape and human trafficking.
For months, the court heard behind-closed-door evidence from teenagers aged between 13 and 14 years, accusing the Nigerian, Ediozi of luring little girls off the streets and recruiting them into a brothel which he owned. Once in the brothel, they were forced to smoke crack, which Ediozi manufactured himself.

Once high on the drug, he would rape them by way of initiation into the sex trade “to teach them the tools”. After a while, the girls became addicted to the crack he forced them to smoke and would do whatever he asked in exchange for the drug. That’s how he controlled them.
The girls hardly got anything to eat, since they were paid for their prostitution with drugs and were under lock and key at all times while Ediozi’s boys were out searching for “customers”. This went on for over a year till one of the girls was rescued and two other victims escaped after police raided the premises following a tip-off.

There was evidence to prove that some police had been given bribes in order to leave him to operate. Ediozi was convicted of 24 of the 29 charges that were brought against him.
