Nigeria: 23-year-old Man Stabs Step Mother To Death

A 23-year-old man, Ahmed Abdullahi has allegedly stabbed his step mother to death with a knife.

The sad incident happened in Agyaragu area of Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State on Friday night.

Eyewitnesses account revealed that he borrowed a knife from the neighbourhood and cut her on the leg.

She was said to have ran out of their house shouting for help when he hit her to the ground after which she fell to the ground in panic.

Sources say he took his time and slit her throat. The step mum was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.

The mother of the alleged suspect ran away to safety when children of the deceased reportedly armed themselves and wanted to avenge the death of their mother.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP, Ramhan Nansel confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and investigation had begun.
