Nigerian Man To Be Flown Back To Britain After 2018 Deportation

A Nigerian man who was convicted by a British court and later deported to his home country will be flown back to appeal his deportation. A higher court ruled it unlawful.

The man was jailed for four-and-a-half years after being convicted for criminal dealings. He was deported subsequently after his initial appeals were thrown out.

In an immigration tribunal judgment, the judge, Justice Lane ruled that the unnamed Nigerian, had a right to have his appeal heard in Britain.

The man had claimed his life was in danger back in Nigeria because he was a bisexual and had converted to Christianity, hence his appeal against his deportation after serving his jail time.

Britain has a strict policy of deportation of any foreigner who is convicted for engaging in criminal activities.
