Jealousy Kills, Here Are 5 Ways To Deal With Unhealthy Jealousy

Published

on

Locally termed as ‘eye-red’, jealousy is one of the most common and unnerving of all human emotions. It’s defined as the resentment against a rival, a person enjoying success or advantage, or a person against another’s success or advantage itself. When jealousy exceeds its limits, this can actually lead to high blood pressure.

A popular misconception about jealousy is that it is the same as envy but this is not an actual fact. The feeling of envy refers to wanting something that someone else has, such as a good job, brains, or material stuff. Jealousy, however, is more concretely described as the fear of losing someone or something, example a lover, a job promotion, acquaintance or the likes to someone else.

For example not everybody can sing like Beyonce, but there are those who can dance better than her. Bottom line is, be yourself.

Meditate: Proven over the years to help us overcome our worst times, meditation is an approach to training your mind. Gain grasp of your mind and control your thoughts. This is a good step to overcoming your jealousy.
