Former Ghanaian Minister, Hanna Tetteh, Reacts To The Unfortunate News Of The Somalian Car Bomb Explosion

Reports earlier this morning had it that a vehicle loaded with bombs exploded in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on December 28th, 2019, killing at least 90 people and leaving others injured.

Reports earlier this morning had it that a vehicle loaded with bombs exploded in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on December 28th, 2019, killing at least 90 people and leaving others injured.

The unfortunate incident had many sad reactions from social media users and some government officials. One such government official is Ghana’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs under the NDC government, Hanna Tetteh.

The Minister on twitter expressed her heartfelt condolence to the people of Somalia and called the attack unnecessary. She also mentioned that the car bomb caused unnecessary loss of human lives and suffering at a time many are trying to rebuild their country.

She added, wishing all Somalians the best during their trying times. She tweeted, ‘Really sad to hear of the car bomb. an attack in Mogadishu, the explosion caused such unnecessary loss of human lives & suffering at a time when people are trying to rebuild their country & get on with their lives. Wishing the people of Somalia all the best in these difficult times.

The sad incident also recorded the death of two Turkish Nationals and many students. Investigations are however ongoing to punish the perpetrators of the crime.
