Being Famous Is Not Easy – Emelia Brobbey Laments

After switching from movies to music and receiving the trolling of her life, Ghanaian entertainer Emelia Brobbey has belted out the difficulties associated with being in the limelight.

Emelia says one needs a heart of steel to stand the troubles that come with being famous. She explained that the journey is not all rosey as perceived.

“The truth is that being in the limelight is not easy, the kind of things you hear and see, you need a big heart to endure them.”

The Odo Electric singer stressed that the most difficult task she takes is trying her best to ignore negative comments that come her way adding that she sometimes get scared when she sees other celebrities being bullied.

“There are times people will photoshop pictures to make you look bad and all. Sometimes I feel bad, especially when I see what they do to the presidents, the trolling etc they are just so bad and it makes me wonder if it can happen to me too,” she said.

Using herself as case study, she recalled the ordeal she faced when she released her first single fame ko. She said, “An example is when I released my single, Fame K), I read a bad comment from one particular person and initially I wanted to respond but when I heard that the one who wrote it was actually a contestant on a particular talent show I just let it go.”
