American Rapper Lil Wayne In Shock As He Discovered He’s 53% Nigerian

American rapper, Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known professionally as Lil Wayne, has revealed his shock when he found out that he was 53% Nigerian after tracing his ancestry.

It’s common among the black-American community to trace their ancestry against the backdrop that most of them have their roots in Africa owing to slavery.

So Lil Wayne narrated that out of his curiosity, he went to one of such popular websites to trace where his ancestors might have come from.

To his shock, Lil Wayne narrates, he found out the majority of this heritage is from Africa.

Speaking on a panel discussion on a podcast, Lil Wayne took a moment to acknowledge Nigeria and made his big revelation.

He said: “Shout out Nigeria. I did a..[trace my ancestry] on ancestry.com, my sh*t came and it was like 53 percent Nigerian.

Expressing his delight and shock at the same time, Lil Wayne reacted that: “Yeah me and my mummy should have a talk”– which got everyone in the room laughing.

One of the panelists asked if he’s ever been to Nigeria. Lil Wayne said no- to which the panelist suggested to him that he has to go.

In agreement, Lil Wayne stated that: “I gotta be there”.
