Coronavirus: Ghanaians Engage In A Nationwide Fast To Avert Deadly COVID-19

The Information Ministry of Ghana yesterday in a press briefing hinted that there has been an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the country as those that were said to be on a mandatory quarantine numbering over 1,030 are reported to have added 20 more cases to the existing number.

Today, Wednesday, March 25, Ghanaians seek the face of God as we follow the directive from the president of the republic, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo.

The president in his recent address to the nation on the deadly pandemic pleaded that Ghanaians should today, March 25 fast and pray to avert the deadly pandemic.

The president said:

“I have called you to this prayer meeting for us to join together and pray to the Almighty God to protect our nation, heal this land and save us from this pandemic,” the President said and added, “We are also putting into practice the hope of the words in the holy scriptures in James 5:14 and 15 and I quote ‘If anyone among you sins let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil and a prayer offered in faith will raise him up.”
