COVID-19: Stop Peddling Fake News Or Face The Consequences – Nana Addo Warns
President Akufo-Addo has issued a word of caution to news agencies and Ghanaians disseminating out false news about coronavirus in Ghana.

His Excellency said these acts are being orchestrated by people who hope to benefit by seeking to sow the seeds of panic and confusion amongst the populace at this time of national crisis.
He warned such people to put an immediate stop to churning out false information or be held accountable for their actions.
The President made this known when he was addressing the nation on Sunday April 19, 2020.
His statement has been replied by plain-spoken actress Lydia Forson who thinks protecting the ‘good image’ is the government’s highest priority not the lives of Ghanaians.
