Nigerian Government Cautions Citizens Against Buying Fake Coronavirus Vaccine Being Sold In Kano State

Although the world continues to hear good news from across many societies and people about the coronavirus pandemic, the fight against the dreaded disease is not yet over.

And even as the Nigeria grapples with COVID-19, scientists are working studiously in their labs to find a vaccine or cure for the disease. Indeed, a few days ago, the UK and Australia announced clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines.

Unfortunately, however, despite the work being done to control the spread of the virus and treat infected people, there have been confirmed deaths related to the virus across the globe and in Nigeria.

These are indeed difficult times for Nigeria. So it is not surprising that Nigerian are looking forward to a vaccine against the coronavirus.

While it appears that scientists have not fully understood how the virus spreads and its symptoms, the WHO has provided the public with what is known about COVID-19 so far in terms of its spread and symptoms that infected person show.

But people still need to take precautions especially with regard to vaccines and medication related to COVID-19.

A fake Coronavirus vaccine is being sold in Kano State, Nigeria and the government has cautioned the public against buying it. If care is not taken, those people who are buying these vaccines can die out of it.

Similar incidents of death happened when rumors emerged that Chloroquine was effective against the coronavirus. People who started abusing the drug met their untimely death.

Thus the government strongly warns the general public to desist from buying any vaccine against coronavirus.
