Man Stabbed To Death For Not Wearing Face Mask
An altercation over face mask at a market centre in Onitsa, Anambra State of Nigeria has resulted in the fatal stabbing of a man.
A security guard, 26 year-old Ibuchi Nwoju, allegedly stabbed the 22 year-old victim, Cletus Chisom, to death for failing to wear his face mask.
The victim died instantly and has been sent to the morgue for preservation. The suspect was arrested and the case transferred to the state command for expedite investigation.
Nigeria imposed a mandatory wearing of face masks in a move to curtail the spread of the coronavirus. A rapid surge in recorded cases has seen a strict implementation of the directive.
