Lagos Could Be On Lockdown Again If Citizens Don’t Change – Gov. Sanwo-Olu

The governor of Lagos State has sent a word of caution to Lagosians. He warned that he would be forced to impose the lockdown measure on the south-western state if the citizens refuse to adhere to coronavirus prevention protocols.

His outburst came just a week after the Nigerian president relaxed the lockdown on the state, together with nearby Ogun state and the capital Abuja.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu took to his Twitter handle to issue the warning. He felt disappointed by the huge number of people crowded at the banks and markets without any social distancing.

There are fears that the current situation can escalate beyond control. Lagos has been particularly affected as the daily tally has doubled in the past few days.

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country has recorded 4151 case with a confirmed 128 deaths. Already there are serious agitations for churches to be opened.
