Mob Lynches Three Thieves For Snatching A Mobile Phone

An angry mob wielding deadly weapons have lynched three suspected thieves in Yola, capital of Adamawa State, north-eastern Nigeria.

The deceased who are suspected of being members of the notorious syndicate of thieves, Shila Boys were killed after they got ambushed by an angry mob.

They had snatched a mobile phobe from a resident and bolted away. However luck eluded them when angry residents mobilised and surrounded them.

They beat them mercilessly before the police’s intervention. When the badly injured thieves were rushed to the hospital, they were confirmed dead.

While confirming the news, the spokesperson of Adamawa State Police, Suleiman Nguroje condemned the action of the mob. He also explained how the dastasrd mob action occurred.

Normally, the Shila Boys go out in a group of three or four to attack citizens. They took advantage of somebody whom they followed, injured and took away his handset. People around there who saw what happened ran after the Shila Boys and lynched them.”
