American singer Kanye Omari West has declared his intention to run for the United States presidency that comes off November this year.
The 43-year-old musician-cum-entrepreneur who was recently declared the richest person in America’s music industry with a net worth of 1.3 billion dollars will have a difficult task to surmount.

Since he is not being endorsed by the two major parties in the country and will likely be fielding as an independent candidate, his chances are very slim.
However his declaration which was made on his Twitter handle has generated more than two hundred thousand comments few hours after going online.
He wrote:
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”
The announcement was endorsed by Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk who tweeted: “You have my full support!”
Kanye West will be having a difficult task of beating his friend ad confidante, current president Donald Trump of the Republican party and former Barack Obama deputy, Joe Biden of the Democratic party.

However, if his dream goes through he would be the second black person after Barack Obama to have won the presidency.
It is yet to be revealed who he will choose as his running mate. Suggestions have made for him to run with his 39-year-old beautiful wife and mother of his four kids, Kim Kardashian.
