Truck Owner Commits Suicide After His Vehicle Was Seized
A Nigierian truck owner has commited suicide after his vehicle was seized by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps.
The deceased who was identified as Fatai Salami committed the dastard act at the premises of the state’s traffic control agency.
According to reports, the driver of the truck was arrested last Thursday for flouting coronavirus protocols.
He was accused of not observing social distancing in his truck and also not wearing a face mask.
The truck was seized and the driver was fined 250,000 naira. He called his boss who came in immediately. Fatai Salami was able to raise over half of the amount but was still not given his vehicle.
After he was snubbed by the officials, the deceased sat on the ground and pull out a liquid concoction from his pocket and drank it.
He collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. An examination on the liquid revealed it to be sniper, a popular poison used in killing rodents.
