All The Big Artists Who Missed Awards At VGMA This Year And How They Reacted (Videos)

The 2020 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off successfully on Friday and Saturday night, August 29th with all the glam and controversies.

Some musicians were awarded for their dedication and hard work on the night but other, did not smile at the end of the show.

Musicians like Kofi Kinaata, Kidi, Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Mole, Medikal, Fameye received various awards with Kuami Eugene carrying the biggest award as Artist Of The Year.

That said, the below acts although hopeful they would win some awards, missed out big time and their reaction has got social media talking.

1. Kelvyn Boy

At the red carpet of the event, the sensational singer echoed that the Afrobeat Song of the year award needs to be handed to him with ease because he has worked of it.

Unfortunately, he lost it to Dope Nation and he was seen storming out of the event center while the show was not over.

2. Wendy Shay

The self tooted ‘Queen of Ghana Music’ Wedny Shay went home with ZERO awards on the night despite her rant and bragging on radio interviews.

3. King Promise

The artiste was noted for; High Life Artiste of the year, Song Writer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the year, Afrobeat Song of the year and three others, yet he won none.

King Promise has been quoted on many platforms to have said he does music for his fans and not for awards. He missed out big time last year and this year to.

This does not mean the mentioned acts do not churn out good music. Least i forget, Gasmilla won an Award after so many years without nomination.
