Buhari Speaks! “The Disbanding Of SARS Is The First Step In Our Police Reforms”
President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has spoken about the security reforms 24 hours after the IGP came out to announce the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit of the police force.
The president in a tweet mentioned that, the disbandment of the SARS unit of the police force is the beginning of many reforms they intend to effect in the police and the general security systems.

He added that, the new reforms will ensure that the police will understand their core mandate as protecting lives and property.

He tweeted: “The disbanding of SARS is only the first step in our commitment to extensive police reforms in order to ensure that the primary duty of the police and other law enforcement agencies remains the protection of lives and livelihood of our people.”
