Nigerian superstar singer Davido exercised his spending muscles with a new purchase: a $750,000 2026 Mercedes Maybach.

Davido shared news of his newest achievement on his Instagram stories on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

He gave fans a sneak peek of his incoming automobile with the post set to his own track, “Nuttin’ Day.”

The all-new 2026 Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is the latest exclusive car to be launched from the luxury automaker.

It is a two-seater with a 4.0 liter V8 biturbo engine with 577 horsepower, according to Mercedes Benz USA.

The car is expected in dealerships next year, but Davido jumped the queue to secure one for himself.

Social media users praised the Nigerian superstar for being one of the few people in the world to get their hand on this exclusive car.

Netizens said the purchase reinforces the notion that Davido loves comfort and luxury in his cars rather than speed.

Others said the purchase is only fuelled by the desire to compete with his colleagues instead of due to his own choice.

Davido was advised to concentrate on competing with his colleagues in the music arena instead of trying to be the one with the most cars.

Davido’s love of cars

The Nigerian superstar is a car lover and has numerous vehicles sitting in his garage.

He also frequently competes with fellow Afrobeats superstars such as Wizkid and Burna Boy who also buy new and exclusive cars frequently.

According to reports, Davido’s garage includes a 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre, a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh, a 2021 Lamborghini Aventador, a 2021 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a 2018 Bentley Bentayga, a
Ferrari 458 Italia, and a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS 600 SUV.

He recently received a brand-new Escalade 600 premium luxury car for his 32nd birthday in November 2024.

Davido also gifted his wife, Chioma, a car for her 30th birthday.
