Famous Actress Divorces Husband Over Domestic Violence – PHOTOS

Zena Yusuf Mohammed aka Shilole, a famous Tanzanian actress has filed for divorce from her husband she describes as ‘abusive’.

Shilole shared on social media the ordeal she goes through in her home living with an abuser. She posted a lengthy letter to tell her story.

According to the actress, she decided to break her 3-year-old marriage because her “husband Ashrafu Sadid, popularly known as Uchebe, has been battering me too much!”

Her letter also contained apology to her fans for lying that her “marriage was trouble-free, while in reality, it wasn’t peaceful.”

Read Letter From Shilole In Part Below;

“I am writing this with a clear mind and conscience. First, I would like to apologise to my family. I am seeking your forgiveness because I assured you that my marriage was trouble-free, while in reality, it wasn’t peaceful.

“I have been a victim of domestic violence and other evil acts I cannot speak about on this platform.

“[As an artist], I am a role model to many in the society; I represent women on many fronts. Today, I have decided to break my silence on my marital woes. My husband Ashrafu Sadiki, popularly known as Uchebe, has been battering me too much!

“Two days ago, when I returned home from my livelihood-seeking activities in Dar es Salaam, he seriously beat me up, forgetting that I had gone out there to look for food not only for my children, but also him. Why did he assault me? Because of petty marital conflicts that are present in all marriages. He did not batter me because he had found me cheating on him, or on issues that are hard to solve through dialogue, no. Furthermore, I respect him so much.

“I have had enough [of domestic abuse], and from now henceforth, I would like to state categorically that no one should refer to me as Uchebe’s wife. People should refer to me as ‘that mother who chose to prioritise her children’s welfare and wellbeing at the expense of a toxic relationship’. They should describe me as ‘that woman who chose her happiness and safety [over a violence-ridden marriage].

“My female fans and other women in the society should use this social media post of mine as a strong message that says ‘we [as women] should speak up when we have been reduced to punching bags and recipients of brutality, because if we don’t, we’ll end up dead someday’.”

VIDEO: Nollywood Actress, Padita Agu Speaks More On Her Abusive Marriage

Nollywood actress Padita Agu last spoke about her abusive marriage when she mentioned that she married her ex-husband the very day she met him.

After the video, she mentioned that she was overwhelmed with the feedback and so promised to speak more of the issue. Today, she has uploaded part two of the rather sad video on her YouTube Channel and as usual, her followers are all sad and emotional about it.

In this video, she revealed that she had to be extra careful with her choice of words with her ex-husband else he would have her tormented for the rest of the week. She also revealed that she practically was scared of her ex husband to the point where talking to him became a problem.

She further added that getting textbooks and being regular at her university was a problem because her ex-husband did all he could to frustrate her.

Padita also added that she became a slave, reserved and almost a dummy with her ex-husband and that getting food to eat on daily bases became a challenge since he did everything to end her career and all she had going on before they married.

On The Issue Of Marital Abuse, Nollywood Star, Padita Agu Advises On What Makes One Stronger

Padita shared the sorrowful experience she had to endure in her marriage on her social media handles a few weeks ago and it got people reaching out to console and also pray for strength for her.

The actress revealed that she was forced to date her ex-husband by a friend and was also convinced by that same ex-husband not to involve her family in the marriage process.

Weeks after sharing her story, she mentioned that she thought she had healed completely but the feedback the story got made her shed tears the more. Today, Padita is advising all victims of marital abuses that if the abuse doesn’t kill them, surely they would come out stronger.

‘If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger’. She earlier mentioned that her horrifying experiences have made her stronger and wiser than before. This, however, does not mean one should stay in an abusive marriage.

Nollywood actress, Padita Agu a few days ago took social media on a journey of opening up about her abusive and emotionally draining marriage.

The actress mentioned how she married her husband the very day they met and how he convinced her into not involving any of her family members.

Even though she’s no more with the said man, Padita seems to still be going through the scars the abusive marriages has left on her. In a post on her instagram page this morning, the young lady had a lot of say about all the experiences she had after she came clean and also promised more revealing lessons afterward.

She wrote, ‘ So, after posting the video of how I married a man the first day I saw him, something happened to me. A lot happened actually, but one of them hit me the most. First were the amazing support and response I got from all of you. It was just too much!!❤❤❤

The second was the emails and DMs I received from all over the world!!! Among were those encouraging me, those about to make the same mistake but withdrew after watching my video, those who made the same mistake but got out and those still stuck in their mistake and seeking a way out. Thirdly and majorly was me realizing that I haven’t healed all these years. I simply locked this experience in some box and buried without facing it, dealing with it and healing from it.

That journey began when I posted that video. It brought back memories between my family and friends and we had to relive the experience. For 5 days stretch, I was crying nonstop. I wasn’t shading tears, I was actually weeping as I went back memory lane. I allowed myself cry all I could and admitted over and over again how foolish and naive I was.

In the end (of reliving the experience) I thanked God I made it out alive. The story could have been different. I may not be here in whole (lost some body part or got terminal illness) or at all to tell the story. But I’m here!! Whole and healthy. 🙏🙏🙏

So, I go on shining light where I see darkness. Not long from now, I will tell you more about this journey and I can’t wait to dance again and make you smile and laugh 😁😁. Thank you for encouraging and supporting me. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤

Nollywood actress Padita Agu has shared rather disturbing news about her collapsed marriage on her YouTube channel and its surprising a celeb of such nature would do such an unfortunate thing.

According to her, her ex-husband advised her not to let anyone in on their marriage plans not even her family and she did just that. She said she actually went to the registry alone and got married to the man.

She added that even though she once opened up to her friend on set about the upcoming marriage, she decided to zip it up finally after seeing the reaction of her friend.

Padita also mentioned that the man kept everyone away from her, her family, friends, colleagues, etc just so he could control and abuse her.

Pandita, however, has survived all the abuses, fled from the marriage but wants young ladies to learn from her mistake.
