Leader of Nigerian islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, Abubakari Shekau has released a video showing students believed to be those abducted from the Kankara Government Science Secondary School in Katsina State.

The students numbering over 300 were attacked by gun men and kidnapped whiles in school.

Earlier on, Shekau released a video where he made claims that those students are in his camp.

His statement was however dismissed by the Katsina State governor when he addressed the State on the issue.

He blamed local bandits as being responsible for the abduction.

Shekau has responded with a hardcore evidence that the boys are with him. In a new 6-minute video he released, he showed faces of some of the students as evidence of his claims.

Meanwhile, Coalition Of Northern Groups have started a protest to force the authority to help rescue the school children.

The dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram has released a video where they claimed responsibility for the massacre of over 43 farmers in Zambarmari area of Borno State.

The group claimed that one of their members were arrested by the farmers and was handed over to the military by the farmers.

The video which is about 3 minutes and 23 seconds has one of the leading soldiers spoke about how they will not spare anyone who try to spy on them.

“You think you can nab our brother and hand him to soldiers and live in peace,” a masked commander of the group asked in the video. You think Allah will forget what you have done to our brother”, he quirried.

“The third message is on those who notoriously nab our brethren and hand them to the military or give them a clue on us. You should know that, unless you repent, what happened to your people is awaiting you.” he warned

Notorious gang leader of terrorist group, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau has bragged in a new video he released that, no one can arrest him because he’s doing God’s work.

The Nigerian army released the fourth batch of names on their wanted list which included the gang leader and some of his soldiers.

Shekau called the bluff of the soldiers telling them that they have no power to arrest him because he was doing God’s work.

He said: “Nobody can apprehend me because I’m doing God’s work. He will protect me like those doing similar work and seeking His protection. I’m very sure God will protect my commanders. We are all doing God’s work.”

He also promised that the agenda will continue even if he’s arrested because the boys he has groomed will take over after him.

“Arresting me will not stop the work we started. What confuses you is you think the religion is mine but it belongs to Allah,” he said.

Viral video circulating shows suspected terrorist shooting down five persons believed to be humanitarian workers.

It is reported that the workers went missing and “were taken hostage by a non-state armed group in Borno State, northeast Nigeria, on June 8”.

“It is with profound grief that we confirm the murder of Ishaku Yakubu, Action Against Hunger (ACF) staff member from Monguno, and four other aid workers,” the French-based aid group said.

“This unjustifiable killing reflects the immense difficulty faced by independent and impartial humanitarian actors, and the violence we are exposed to every day to fulfil our mission,” ACF said.

The 35 seconds long video showed five armed men in hoods standing behind five hostages who were kneeling.

An unidentified voice, suspected to be their ring leader, spoke in Hausa saying;

“this is a message to the infidels who are using you to cheat and turn our people into unbelievers. You should know that your employers are just using you to achieve their aims, but they don’t care about you. That’s why whenever we abduct you, they don’t care about you.

“Our advice for you is that you should repent and turn to God, or else we shall continue to waylay and abduct you all in all the routes that you traverse.

“And if you don’t heed to our warning, what is about to happen to these five aid workers would also be fate that will befall you too.”

Two people have been killed when a United Nations helicopter crashed to the ground after an attack was launched on it by Boko Haram insurgents.

The attack happened in Damasak, a town in the Borno State, north-eastern Nigeria where the Islamist fighters have a strong presence and carry out most of their dastard acts.

UN humanitarian affairs coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon revealed that none of the occupants in the helicopter died.

He added that both the fatalities and several others who were injured in the attack were on the ground.

“A UN Humanitarian Air Service helicopter was hit by bullets during the attack. No aid workers were on board at the time and crew members are all safe,”

Air travel has been the prefered and safest option for organisations who are transporting aid workers and humanitarian goods to the most affected areas.

The United Nations has issued a suspension of all flight travels and it is currently assessing the situation with the government in better ways of protecting its staff.

Boko Haram has been waging a decade-old insurgency against Nigeria in a bid to institutionalise Islam as a state religion in Africa’s most populous country.

They also want the country to throw away its democratic dispensation and impose sharia law in accordance to Islamic principles. The war has killed tens of thousands of civilians.

Though Nigeria’s army and the government have pointed out that the sect has been effectively defeated, they continue to pose threats to both local and international organisations helping displaced people.
