Award winning British singer Adele has sent fans talking on social media after sharing a new look which is totally different from what we know. The singer was seen rocking a traditional African hairstyle and in a bikini top with Jamaican flag.

Adele’s hair was intricately twisted in a style similar to Bantu knots, adorned with bright yellow feathers behind her head.

“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London,” She wrote Sunday night, in tribute to the annual event. Her name trended on social media after she posted the image.

The Notting Hill Carnival is held annually in London as a way to celebrate Black British culture. It has taken place since 1966, but was held online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She was bashed for cultural appropriation by some critics; “If 2020 couldn’t get anymore bizarre, Adele is giving us Bantu knots and cultural appropriation that nobody asked for,” journalist Ernest Owens wrote on Twitter.

“Dear white people, please just be yourselves and stop it for good with cultural appropriation. Adele the bantu knots were unnecessary. The Jamaican flag bikini top was unnecessary… Please just stop it,”

A tweeted image of an intricate braided hairstyle has gone viral after being posted by a blogger who might just have a dirty mind.

“You can only see it once,” the twitter user captioned the photo of a woman’s pink ombré braids. Her post has since racked up nearly 11,000 retweets and more than 30,000 likes.

Although it’s burning up the web this week, the photo of the accidentally genital coiffure was actually posted to the popular Chinese website Weibo as long ago as Dec. 9, 2017.

The intricate styling appears to be intended to look like a heart- but instead looks quite “veiny” and phallic like a penis.

“I must be tired because I thought this was the throbbiest of penises,” tweeted one user.

“Same energy,” responded another Twitter user, who attached a photo of a brunette sporting another unfortunate, penis-shaped hairstyle.

The show which showcased hairpieces from Senak Hair Collection, First Choice Salon saw Ghanaian celebrities gracing the occasion.

Actress Lydia Forson, one of Ghana’s strong female voices blessed the event with her stunning look and what caught the attention of most people was her hair.

The hair which looked like the Ghanaian Ewe ‘atsififi’ took us all to the olden days but what looked different is the size of each branch. The stylist gave a new touch to each branch as she did each big enough to break Lydia’s neck but she rocked it with all graciousness as she’s seen dancing with it.
