Lagos State lawmaker, Mojisola Alli-Macauley, has lumped all the youth of Nigeria together and describes them as jonkys who are always high on drugs.

The lawmaker was making a submission on the floor of the house concerning the recent happenings in the State regarding the End SARS protest.

Whiles making her submission, she noted that the youth are acting on the influence of hard drugs, a reason why they’re misbehaving on social media.

She said: “They (Nigerian youths) are high on drugs all the time, most of them. They go to social media to do all sorts of things.”

The Lagos state government has planned to ban the commercial use of Motorbikes and tricycle taxis affectionately called ‘Okada’ in major cities in Nigeria.

The Government echoed the ban has become necessary following the increment of deaths and injuries caused by Okada.

Reports show that the ban will take effect from February 1 and will be enforced on all major highways in cities like, Lagos Island, Apapa, Surulere. Ikeja, Lagos Mainland and Eti Osa.

The Lagos State Government in another development stated that no one was given the license to commercialize motorcycles.
