In a most recent post on Instagram, Lilwin shares his new looks with fans and also says he is venturing into Dancehall music now. He also calls himself the dancehall comic artiste.

Over the past few weeks, Ghanaian comic actors Lilwin and Funny Face were involved a brawl which saw the two entertainers dirtying themselves in the media.

The quarrel between the two began when Liwin asserted that Funny Face did not deserve to be awarded as the favorite actor at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards.

Since then, both actors including their protegees have been at each others neck and a truce is yet to be reached despite Lilwin’s apology to Funny Face.

Against the backdrop of all of these happenings, Lilwin has posted a cryptic message on social media as if to throw a shade at Funny Face.

His post was video of himself dancing excitedly to the cheers of onlookers and he captioned the video that: “Raise Your Level Of Performance To Meet Your Expectations-Life Goes On.” Love All, Trust None, Except GOD.

Funny Face a few days ago gave a fan an amount of One Thousand Ghana Cedis to help him pay his debt and Lilwin in a recent video has done same.

In the video sighted online, Liwin was heard telling the man in uniform to use part the money he gave to pay for his tuition and keep the rest. He salvaged the opportunity to throw jabs at Funny Face saying he (Liwin) gives from his heart.

Only a few days ago, Ghanaian actor-cum-musician, Kwadwo Nkansah, known in showbiz as Lilwin came under fire for his video on the ‘Atta Adwoa’ challenge which had become an internet sensation and social media craze since the beginning of the year.

As you may be aware, ‘Atta Adwoa’ is a hit song by fast rising Ghanaian artistes Bosom PYung which was released early January this year.

Social media and internet users immediately started the ‘Atta Adwoa’ challenge mimicking Bosom’s repertoire in the music video. Since then many others, including some celebrities, have participated in the said challenge.

Lilwin is the latest among those celebrities to join the ‘Atta Adwoa’ challenge. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t have been an issue. However, it came to light that in Lilwin’s video of the ‘Atta Adwoa’ challenge, the logo of ABSA- the new name of Barclays Bank- was used and advertised in the video without getting consent from the original artiste.

Thus, the issue became a matter of copyright violation. So far, Bosom PYung, Barclays Bank and a few others (including A Plus) who have stakes in the matter have made statements concerning the matter, except Lilwin.

So, today the management of Wezzy Empire, that is Lilwin’s management, released a statement to the effect of offering an explanation to what happened and as well, render an apology to all parties involved.

The full statement can be found at the end of this article. However, it must be pointed out that the explanation given by Lilwin and his management is somewhat repugnant and lacks credibility.

First, the statement makes claim that they [the management of Wezzy Empire] could not believe their editors placed the ABSA logo in the video but later confirmed it was a mistake three hours after its release.

A mistake? A deliberate mistake would be a better description for what happened, not merely a mistake.

It beats imagination that not any logo but that of ABSA was put on the video. How that happened mistakenly is a question for the gods.

Portion of the statement reads as follows:

We were mortified when social media commentators pointed out that #attaaadwoachallenge song was violated by our Artist, and shocked to see that it happened on our watch.

At first, we couldn’t believe our editing bench placed the Logo of an International Bank Barclays/Absa, but upon checking our records we confirmed that the mistake were made.

We indeed reviewed and disapproved the video in question after 3 hours post on our social media by our PRO. The actor and management have no memory of why our editing bench would have thought it was OK to use this material without permission.

In their attempt to push the blame on their editing team, they claim Lilwin and the management were unaware of the motivation of the editors to put the logo without permission, forgetting that even after the video was complete it was shared on the official social media platforms of the actor.

The question is didn’t Lilwin and his management see the video before it was released? Didn’t anyone in the management team OK the video before its release? Or the editors are also to be blamed for the video coming out in public after putting the ABSA logo on the video?

Again, their assertion that they reviewed the video and disapproved 3 hours after its release is an insult to the intelligence of many. This should have been done (and indeed necessary) before releasing the video to the public.

In any case, they have rendered an apology to the artiste involved- Bosom PYung and vowed not to repeat the ‘mistake’ again.

According to the comic actor, Ghanaians want them both to unite and push the movie industry forward. In an Instagram post, Lilwin expressed regret at the fact that he is not in good terms with kweku Manu.

“Legends The late Bob Santo and Abusuapanyin Judas…@Kwakumanubob this is how Ghana wants us to unite and build a better movie industry”, He wrote.

Lilwin further went on to ask movie producers and directors to unite them instead of setting them against each other.
