The love between Efia Odo and Shatta Wale is about to take another nose dive. that is if all the tweets are really from the actress and television personality.

Efia Odo on twitter has decided to share with the award winning dancehall artist how to create good music and not the noise he calls music – quite a big blow if you ask me.

In a tread on twitter Efia Odo first praised Shatta for his talent but quickly highlighted the pot holes that are sinking his craft gradually.

She said in one tweet, “Charles @shattawalegh, one very big problem I have with your craft is “production”. You’re very talented, even miles ahead than your colleagues. You could write great lyrics but input zero effort for quality sound. Most of your sounds have poor mixing techniques..”

Many are surprised the technical knowledge Efia Odo shared on her twitter handle are saying she could never know such thing so it might be a fake account created by someone close to Shatta Wale who was scared to tell the musician all these in person.

But anyways, the tweets hold some valuable lessons that if any musician follows, they might stay on top of their game. Read more below.

Talented Ghanaian poet, Nana Asaase has expressed discontent in the current state of our music industry.

He claims the once cherished art has been filled with noisemakers parading as musicians and churning out bad tunes they call music.

In a one on one with DJ Hitman on MY Fm, an Eastern Regional based radio station, Nana Asaase said the reason why recent music fades quickly is because the artists refuse to learn.

“Ghana music industry is full of noisemakers. take away the beat and you realize they don’t say anything sensible… it’s because they refuse to learn, they refuse to grow. They feel they know everything but they are jokers.”

When quizzed to distinguish true musicians from the noisemakers, Nana Asaase said, “…take a look at Taego Sister, their music is old but when you play it now, people still love it. unlike these people where they fade in less than 3 months.”

The poet who has been featured many times on CNN disclosed that some musicians who are serious in the business sometimes approach him to review their content before they drop a song.

Nana Asaase told DJ Hitman that he will soon organize a lyrical battle between himself and any A-list artist who believes in his craft to prove there are nothing but noisemakers with no talent in the industry.

“I will one day organize a rap battle, if they beleive in themselves they should come out. Lets rhyme and flow,no repetition of bars.”

It was back in the days when Oseikurom was the hub of good and authentic Ghanian music. I can talk of talents when in the music industry when it comes to hip hop, hip life, gospel and rap music. This was the days when the Golden City can boast of celebrated stars like Reggie Rockstone, Okomfour Kwaade, Okyeame Kwame, Lord Kenya (now Rev. Kenya), Akatakie, Akyeame, Dasebre only to mention a few.

A new revolution came in the musical circle as both gospel and circular musicians in Kumasi lost the mantle to those in the camp of Tema. From then out of the industry then a new seed showed up from Tema who is in the person of the Sarkodie. I consider him to be the best thing that ever happened to Ghana music industry.

Kumasi despite the change in baton found the hopes in the duo that goes by the name Bradez”. A group of two which is now only spearheaded by the rap maestro Flowking Stone who goes by the birth name Kwaku Nsiah-Boama. Enviable, Flowking Stone remains as one of the finest poetic rapper that we have in the country that will always love to listen to.
