It was back in the days when Oseikurom was the hub of good and authentic Ghanian music. I can talk of talents when in the music industry when it comes to hip hop, hip life, gospel and rap music. This was the days when the Golden City can boast of celebrated stars like Reggie Rockstone, Okomfour Kwaade, Okyeame Kwame, Lord Kenya (now Rev. Kenya), Akatakie, Akyeame, Dasebre only to mention a few.

A new revolution came in the musical circle as both gospel and circular musicians in Kumasi lost the mantle to those in the camp of Tema. From then out of the industry then a new seed showed up from Tema who is in the person of the Sarkodie. I consider him to be the best thing that ever happened to Ghana music industry.


Kumasi despite the change in baton found the hopes in the duo that goes by the name Bradez”. A group of two which is now only spearheaded by the rap maestro Flowking Stone who goes by the birth name Kwaku Nsiah-Boama. Enviable, Flowking Stone remains as one of the finest poetic rapper that we have in the country that will always love to listen to.

Today in an interview on Max TV, the poet in a response to the fade of Kumasi music expressed how he sacrificed his education qualification so in other to lift and redeem the stolen honour back to his people. “I have sacrificed my degree in biochemistry so that I could redeem the music badge back to my Oseikurom people” he said as monitored by africacelebrities.com
