Amid the global pandemic; coronavirus, reports circulating on social media indicates that the president of Kenya, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta has placed an immediate 6 months ban on sekx to prevent the novel virus spread.

The number of coronavirus cases in Africa keeps increasing as various governments adopt various directives in averting the situation.

353,000 cases have been reported worldwide as the number keeps increasing exponentially. As part of the government’s directive to combat the virus, a ban has been placed on sekx between couples for the next six months.

According to the new order from Kenya, Kenya recorded its 19th coronavirus case in the country as there is a bit of frenzy in the country. Couples have since been ordered to keep separate beds at home and practice separate sleeping to prevent the spread of the ruthless disease.

Twitter has been blowing up all day since Kenyan rapper King Kaka released a new single dubbed #Wajinganyinyi. The single which is the fourth from his new album addresses the current political situation in the country.

In the song, King Kaka openly addresses the fact that several corruption scandals have been swept under the rug. He calls out top level politicians especially the president for failure to fulfill all the promises made during their campaigns.

King Kaka goes ahead to call the president among other politicians stupid. He questions the president on what happened to the stadiums, jobs and other reforms he promised Kenyans from his well written manifesto. Many Kenyans stand with King Kaka as communicated from their tweets.

Subsequently, the president tweeted his opinion on the song writing ” I am disappointed by King Kaka for calling me, Ann Waiguru and others stupid. It is unfair for him to insult us. I shall be fulfilling my promises in the remaining 3 years of our term, or in my extended term.”

Kenya marked a monumental day in history on Monday morning when President Uhuru Kenyatta flagged off the first 200,000 barrels of crude oil from Kenya. The very first oil shipment left the dock at the Mombasa port yesterday for Malaysia. The entire launch was dubbed with the hash tag #FirstofAKind to commemorate the great milestone achieved.

The buyers of the oil, UK-based Chinese company ChemChina, bought the first batch of the crude oil at Sh 1.2 billion. This sale is part of the Early Oil Pilot Scheme (EOPS), an great step towards the South Lokichar Full Field Development (FFD) project. During the flagging of the oil cargo, President Uhuru noted that event marked a special moment in Kenya’s history. This is because the very first oil exploration dates back to 1937 where not much was achieved in extracting commercially viable deposits.

 
According to the President, Kenya continued with the exploration efforts despite challenges because the existence of oil is the key for the development and eventual prosperity of a Nation. He promised his support and commitment in the modification of the Petroleum Refinery Limited to support the early pilot oil scheme.

Speaking in the presence of Mombasa County Governor Joho, the president said that the new oil project will create more jobs for citizens. He added that the Kenya shipping line will gain access to more than 500 ports across the world. This access will enable Kenya to ship the oil and get more Kenyans working in the maritime industry.
