Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has spoken against the whole Black Lives matter movement and lashed at Africans who call themselves blacks.

Founder of Christ Embassy stated categorically that black means absence of color and a word associated to evil so African should stop attributing themselves to that color.

“Maybe I should tell you something, those of you that say black lives matter, I feel sorry for you! Do you really believe you have a black life? Do you want me to read to you the meaning of black?

“Who called you black? Shouldn’t you have rejected that from the beginning? A contradiction, a bundle of contradiction. You refused negro and nigga… But that’s what black is. You took the English version.“

He questioned why Africans will be angry they are called Negro but accept to be black when they all have the same meaning.

“Negro means black. Do you know what black means… Have you ever seen black? Black means the absence of colour, absence of good, absence of light and absence of direction. These are the meaning of black. Black is not a colour but the absence of colour.. like you are sick, don’t you understand it?

“It’s about time Africans say to themselves we are not black. STOP ALL THIS BLACK LIVES MATTER! Let no one call you black because you are not black… The definition of black is not good and they are using it to destroy you…

“When you keep calling yourself black… You mean light is absent, colour is absent and you will never come to a place of light… You will be under… When God gives you a Prophetic instruction, it is important that you follow into the latter.”

Big Brother Africa star Tayo Faniran has expressed disappointment in being African over issues he describes as demeaning and just wrong.

Following the recent heavy downpour in Lagos, many were badly affected by the floods and Tayo was part of the affected. Out of this he said he wished he were a white man as black people are their own problems.

Tayo channeled his anger on corrupt politicians and wealthy people living silently in flooded areas without taking any productive action to solve the problem.

He questioned why blacks hurt each other and wish to see their own people suffer while saying we deserve whatever hell that befalls us.

He wrote on his Instagram page, ”Black man why are you so wicked? #blacklives don’t matter. White people should just enjoy however they want to treat us,we deserve it,we are our own problem.”

On Friday the 13th, a scandal erupted at popular Nairobi joint, J’s Fresh Bar and Kitchen. Drama erupted when a female customer was assaulted by staff members at the bar including the manager.

The customer going by the name faysflow on Instagram took to the platform to share the ordeal of that night. According to her, she had spent about Sh. 5000 at the bar and proceeded to ask a female bartender for change.

A seen from a video recording, the female bartender thew a drink with lemons on the customer. From reports, the bartender did so out of spite for not getting a tip from faysflow.

When the manager of the restaurant intervened, matters only got worse. According to witnesses, the bartender and faysflow were taken to a private room to resolve the problem. While in the room, the manager going by Vincent assaulted the customer some more where no CCTV camera could record the abuse.

The entire ordeal was outrageous and once faysflow shared the happenings of the night on her Instagram, netizens were quick to demand for justice. Several users on twitter and Instagram are demanding the closure of J’s.

According to many, some bars including J’s treat whites and Indians as the creme de la creme of customers; Reasons being that they often get better tips from them. Therefore, they discriminate on Africans with the assumption that black people are poor.

This incident of faysflow being mistreated is just but one of the many unjust forms of mistreatment of customers in bars and clubs. Only time will tell whether the bar will be closed following this major scandal. As of now, the managers are secretly talking to faysflow to try and offer her a settlement deal to kill the online movement against them.

A morning TV anchor in Oklahoma apologized a day after likening her black cohost to a gorilla.

Alex Housden said a gorilla at the Oklahoma City Zoo “kind of looks like you” to her colleague, Jason Hackett, at the end of a feature on KOCO-TV, a CNN affiliate, on Thursday.

She addressed what she called hurtful comments on the next day’s show.

“I said something yesterday that was inconsiderate, it was inappropriate, and I hurt people,” a tearful Housden said to the audience and Hackett.

“And I want you to know, I understand how much I hurt you out there and how much I’ve hurt you. I love you so much, and you have been one of my best friends for the past year and a half. And I would never do anything on purpose to hurt you. And I love our community and I want you all to know, from the bottom of my heart, I apologize for what I said. I know it was wrong and I am so sorry.”

Housden did not address the racism implicit in her comparing an African American to an ape.

Hackett accepted the apology on air and acknowledged the pain caused.

“It cut deep for me and it cut deep for a lot of you in the community,” he said.

Housden and Hackett each reached out to the other as they spoke. Hackett agreed Housden was one of his best friends.

Hackett said he hoped the episode could serve as a wake-up call and a “teachable moment” that “words matter,” especially during a time of changing demographics in America.

“We have to understand the stereotypes,” he said. “We have to understand each other’s backgrounds and the words that hurt, the words that cut deep.”
