Video: Wendy Shay Is Not My Friend, I Will Never Work With Her – Fantana

Fantana just confirmed the severity of the cat-fight going on between Wendy Shay and herself.

The label mates have been throwing indirect shots at each other via lyrics in songs and social media but Fantana on Showbiz 360 on TV3 made her intentions public.

Speaking with Giovani Caleb, the Girls Hate On Girls singer said she does not recall the last time she spoke with Wendy Shay adding that she’s not friends with her’

She further revealed that although the two are signed unto the same record label, Rufftown Records, she(Fantana) will never feature Wendy Shay on her song explaining that the time for such collaboration has passed.

The simmering tension between Wendy Shay and Fantana, both signed to the same record label, seems to have no end in sight. With rumours constantly circulating that all is not well between the two acts signed to RuffTown Records, owned by Bullet, Fantana has given credence to reports that she is not in good terms with Wendy Shay. Asked when was the last time she had a chat with her label mate, in an interview on Showbiz 360 on TV3 with Giovani Caleb, Fantana said “I don’t remember,” adding that Wendy Shay is not her friend. When the host inquired if she will ever feature Wendy Shay on a song, the ‘Girls Hate on Girls’ singer responded, “No”. Watch the video for more.

The song was Directed by Yaw Skyface. It starred two of Ghana’s actors, John Dumelo and Emelia Brobbey alongside Ghana comedian, Mmebusem.

Ghanaians Are Saying They Know Exactly What Bullet Meant By ‘Empowering Female Artistes’

It’s fair to say that Ghana people love ‘ns3m keka’. Otherwise, what business is it of ours that Bullet has decided to use his Rufftown Records to empower women.

So last night at the 2019 MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards (MVAs), Wendy Shay, a signee on Rufftown Records label, was awarded Best Female Video for her music video of ‘Uber Driver’.

Because Wendy Shay wasn’t present to receive the award, Bullet- CEO of Rufftown Records and Fantana- another signee of the label, went to the stage to receive the award on her behalf.

After receiving the award, Bullet decided to give a few words to patrons, dignitaries and artistes present at the event.

Portions of his statement were geared towards addressing certain issues pertaining to Rufftown Records especially against the backdrop of Ms. Forson’s accusation of him not wanting to work with her because she was married at the time.

He said Rufftown Records is about women empowerment and that the record label is open to accept up and coming female artistes regardless of their marital status. In fact, this statement received a mixture of resounding applauds and cheers of cynicism.

Apparently fans and commentators are saying they know exactly what Bullet meant by ‘women empowerment’. And this stems from a longstanding rumor that Bullet has been having amorous relationships with the female artistes who sign to his record label.

There were allegations of him sleeping with Ebony of blessed memory and now the same allegations are being leveled against him of doing the same with Wendy Shay.

Although Bullet has had to come out to refute such allegations, it seems patrons would have none of it as they continue to propagate them.

Well, for us women empowerment is a laudable initiative and we have nothing more to say.

VIDEO: Publicity Stunt Or No Love Lost? Fantana Jams To Wendy Shay’s Song After She Was Nearly Cut Off From Rufftown Records

It has been barely a week ago that Fantana and Rufftown Records were trending for not so good reasons.

The new signee to the Record took to social media to call out afropop singer Wendy Shay who is also a signee to the record and the CEO, Bullet, for the public humiliation of cutting her off the record label.

After nearly being cut off from Rufftown Records, it seems Fantana has sewn herself back into the label by jamming to Wendy Shay’s song “Kut It”. Or was it all a stunt for publicity in the first place?

Perhaps the singer has decided to show that after that incident between her and Bullet, there’s no bad blood between her and Wendy Shay on the record label.

She sharing a video of herself jamming to Wendy’s “Kutt It” could prove this point. However some are convinced now that it was all a publicity stunt to get them trending.

After all, things didn’t add up when the issue popped out. Commentators are even alleging that this agenda to get Fantana to trend started with her wardrobe malfunction at Shatta Wale’s Reign Concert and subsequent incidents.

Indeed, it will take a lot more effort to take that ‘talentless’ tag off Fantana. Watch the video of her jamming to Wendy’s “Kutt It” song below:

Ms Forson Retracts Defamatory Statement And Apologizes To Bullet

It wasn’t long ago that Ms Forson accused the CEO of Rufftown Records, Bullet, for forcing her to quit her marriage.

And days after that accusation, Bullet, through his lawyers, called on Ms Forson to retract the statement as it was deemed as defamatory and also apologize for same.

A letter sighted by AfricaCelebrities.com indicates that Ms Forson has duly retracted her statement of accusation and has apologized to bullet as well. The letter reads as follows:

RE: REQUEST TO RETRACT PUBLICATION OF DEFAMATORY STATEMENTS MADE AGAINST RICKY NANA AGYEMAN AND TO RENDER AN UNQUALIFIED APOLOGY

Dear Sir/Madam.

We confirm receipt of your email today Tuesday 4th November 2019, from your firm LawPlus on behalf of your client Mr Ricky Nana Agyeman known in showbiz as “Bullet’ requesting retraction and apology from Miss Gloria Forson who represents by the stage name “Ms Forson” and happens to be an artist under the Black Avenue Muzik record Label.

We write on behalf of Ms.Forson in the absence of our CEO who isn’t in the country at the moment and after briefly conferring with our legal team.

Firstly these accusations leveled against Ms. Forson aren’t founded on her exact wordings in these interviews and her intentions aren’t to defame ‘Bullet’.

We however attach copies of her interview with ZionFelix where she duly stated that “Bullet advised her against being married and being in the music industry at the same time. She however ended her relationship with her ex for her own reasons.

She also blatantly stated in the interview with blogger Sammy Kay that Bullet was the writer of the songs and that she had no rights to these songs. She only contributed little parts of the songs and recorded them as a vocalist/artist when she worked with Rufftown Records.

We however want to state categorically that statements made by Ms. Forson had and has no malicious intentions as made believed by some parts of the media and unfortunate if it’s regarded as defamatory.

Secondly, Ms Forson retracts and duly apologizes to Mr.Ricky Nana Agyeman “Bullet” if any part of her statements in the interviews granted by the following media platforms. Okay Fm, www.ZionFelix.com and Sammykay Online Media on the 31st of October 2019, has caused him inconveniences in anyway.

Ms. Forson is a young up and coming act and would not want to engage in any battles with other entertainment industry persons especially not with ‘Bullet’, someone she looks up to.
