Nigerian Afrobeat giant, Burna Boy is one of the few musicians accused on many occasions for sampling songs for their projects.

Burna Boy have been on the chopping board of many critics – accusing him of sampling songs from Legendary Fela Kuti and Angeique Kidjo.

Well, the African Giant has launched an aggressive defense on twitter challenging anyone to prove he is guilty of sampling songs.

The Ye singer got angered in a question and answer time on twitter and aired his view on the allegations leveled against him.

Burna Boy confessed to the fact that yes he does sampling but not to the extent critics have exaggerated it to. He opined that “all the greatest in the world have sampled things they love.”

In another tweet, Burna Boy refute claims that all his hit tracks were written by other musicians like Peruzzi saying “he has never had any help writing any song ever.“

Ghanaian dancehall mega star is being accused by Instagram blogger famebug for stealing lyrics in a popular song for a single he recently released.

Livingston Etse Satekla aka Stonbwoy is about to release his much awaited studio album dubbed Anloga Junction but is releasing singles off the album.

Stonebwoy’s African Party song, according to the blogger, has similar lyrics and rhythm from Ugandan artist Big Tril’s Parte After Parte track. To prove his point he collage a video of both songs to help spot the similarities.

Big Tril’s Parte After Parte was a major hit and was used during the festive season and year of return in Ghana. Maybe Stonebwoy took inspiration from the song or properly asked permit from Big Tril but what some Ghanaians are asking is why Becca is being bashed for sampling a South African song but Stonebwoy is left untouched.

Wizkid had recorded his own rendition of Ghanaian singer Tic Tac’s ‘Fe Fe Ne Fe’ without asking Tic the rights to the hip-life song.

The song was originally sung by late Nigerian legend Fela Kuti.

Tic had earlier threatened to sue the Nigerian singer to no avail but new information cropping in is that Tic has finally taken legal action against Wizkid.

Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, known by his stage name Blackface Naija or just Blackface, is a Nigerian dancehall artiste and a songwriter.

Blackface over the years has accused Nigerian singer 2Baba of stealing his song and has stated that he would do nothing if 2Baba comes to do the needful. It would be recalled that 2babas adamancy led to his friend, Blackface threatening to end his career and true to his words, he’s taken him to court.

He made it known on his instagram account and said he waited for 2Baba to reach out but he didn’t.

He wrote, ‘I sincerely want to apologize to close friends, relatives, well-wishers who may have been affected by my actions or inactions over the years. I have always stood for a better Nigeria,equal rights and an agitator for a system in place in our country so adequate compensation be given to not only Nigerian songwriters but songwriters and creators all over the world, an industry where all players in the creative process are recognized and credited for their contribution to any piece of work used commercially or otherwise.

I will never be intimidated by any threat My intention has never been to expose anybody but the truth finds it’s way out eventually 
My issues with Mr. Innocent Idibia aka 2face & co are purely professional and my lawyers have filed my claims in Court, to be served to all parties in due time. I apologize for the delay in taking this step, I was hoping they would do the right thing and the need for me to take them to court will not arise but alas I was wrong.

I believe the legal system will resolve this eventually
I will also continue to defend myself in the 50Million suit they filed against me which comes up for mediation on the 25th of November 2019. Meanwhile, I will not make any further statements on this issue until both lawsuits are concluded as I have entrusted this matter to my lawyers and the justice system.
