Perez Chapel International’s leader and founder, Bishop Charles Aginasare is of the conviction that Coronavirus is an agenda from evil people to prevent Christians to worship God.

The founder and general overseer said it is unfair how people disregard the prevention protocols in some institutions but the church is forced to obey every directive or face the law.

Bishop Aginasare added that it is strange how people walk around the market and go about their daily activities without fear of contracting the virus but are scared to come to the house of the lord.

“Is it not amazing to you that people are okay to go and vote in primaries? They are not afraid that they will get coronavirus. They are okay to go to the market and not afraid to get coronavirus.

“They are okay to sit in trotro, they are okay to sit in a taxi and go everywhere. But when it comes to church it is like at the gate of the church we are distributing coronavirus. That is what the devil has made people to think,” he said.

The bishop joins the many leaders who chastised the ruling political party, NPP, after voting was held in 165 constituencies in the country with total disregard for the COVID-19 safety protocols.

Actress Yvonne Nelson has veered off her usual political rants to make a controversial religious assertion that has caused a debate on twitter.

Yvonne Nelson shared her view on the current global pandemic and how it coincides with Easter celebration. She opined that this is no coincidence.

She said on twitter that this year’s Easter celebration will be one to remember for years because of the Coronavirus.

According to her, coronavirus happening just when Easter is about to be celebrated is Jesus’ way of drawing attention to himself and the significance of his death.

“Lord let their wives be barren, let all fruitfulness be cast from them.…I curse their generations, I curse the generations before them and after them, let there be chaos in their families, let your pestilence fall upon them from this day, let there be sickness from the root of their families to the generation that is unborn, epilepsy, HIV/AIDS…” he prayed.

Nigerian Actor and Film director, Yul Edochie has opined that the vow of celibacy on priesthood should be revoked and Catholic Priests allowed to marry.

On twitter today, Yul Edochie addressed the century old doctrine saying he has grown to understand that the sexual desires of the Priests are being infringed on with the ban.

He further warned his followers not to probe further as to why he is making such stand.

“Now that I’m older and wiser, I believe it’s best for Catholic priests to be allowed to get married. DON’T ASK ME WHY!” he tweeted.

His assertion has raised a lot of conversation as many believe Priesthood is a voluntary work and no one is mandated to join the cult.

A twitter user replied, Fabulouz – They don’t force any one to join the priesthood…. Its the individual choice to choose whether or not they want to become one (priest). They shouldn’t join the Family if he or she wants to get married..
