Popular Kenyan blogger Jackson Biko recently interviewed a young woman who made money from a dangerous club based career.

The young lady in question, a 23 year old mother of one admitted that she attracted men at the club, drugged them and stole from them once the men were knocked out.

The lady claimed that she was introduced to the business by a friend. At that point, the father to her child (who was married) had abandoned her and she could not afford to take care of herself let alone her baby.

The lady shared that the women in her trade use two pills to make their victims unconscious prior to stealing from them. A blue pill called dormicus and a white pill stilnox; both sleeping pills.

The blue pill is known for its bitter taste and so the ladies mix it in pre-chewed gum that is later slipped into a victim’s mouth when kissing.

The white pill however has no taste and is usually slipped into men’s drinks in clubs. Once the victims are drugged, these women steal their money, phones and electronics.

The young lady specified that going home with their victims was a major jackpot. You can steal all you can get from a man’s home compared to just his wallet.

From the reactions to Biko’s story on social media, it appears that many men have fallen victim to these ladies in clubs.

The most painful narration however is from this one man who shared that his friend died after his drink was spiked at the club.

“I lost my close friend in 2016 through drink spiking in Ruaka. He was just from his honeymoon and wanted a drink with his boy.

Hid drink was laced by a girl who sat next to them at the counter. He blacked out instantly.

His friend took him to Aga Khan hospital only to be pronounced dead upon arrival,” read the story shared on Instagram.

The sad reality about this entire story is that men will still get drunk in clubs and fall victim to these women.

Nonetheless, let those with eyes and ears read and listen. While having a drink at your local joint, be vigilant. You are not safe!

A 23-year-old Tanzanian woman suspected of stealing money from bank users after fraudulently obtaining their ATM cards has been arrested by the police.

The suspect identified as Halima Juma was arrested on Tuesday November 16, after a bank teller got suspicious after she used different cards from the same bank to withdraw money from one ATM machine. The teller then called the attention of the security saying that Halima was “up to no good”.

Halima who tried escaping upon being caught was found to be in possession of 23 ATM cards which was hidden in her private part.

“On October 25, 2019, one Ernest Mika Sakala, a retired senior soldier in Tanzania, reported at the Mbagala Maturubai Police Station that on October 23, at around 4pm, a woman, unknown to him, exchanged his ATM card of CRDB Bank with another of the same bank. When Sakala went to withdraw money from an ATM machine in Dar Live Mbagala Zakhem branch on October 25, he discovered that the ATM he was in possession of was not his. When he inquired from CRDB Bank in Mbagala on the same day, he discovered that Tsh10 million (Ksh442, 000) had been withdrawn from his bank account between October 23 and October 25,” Dar es Salaam regional police boss, Lazaro Mambosasa told reporters.

K24TV reported that Halima confessed to being part of an ATM Cards-theft syndicate that withdraw users’ money after obtaining the cards through dishonest means.

“She said they have been targeting the elderly rich-but-illiterate men and women, and pretend to help them withdraw money from ATM machines. She said they usually ask the users for their PIN numbers, and once they reveal the information, they lie to them that the ATM card has been ‘swallowed’, and so they should report to their respective banks the following day. They, thereafter, go to another ATM machine and withdraw the monies.

The other method they are employing is standing next to a user who has just withdrawn money via a teller. So, when the client has received his money, and is in the process of either counting or loading them into an envelope, they exchange his or her ATM card with another one. Of course, you know many a times, when one is counting money, the last thing they would pick from the counter is the ATM card and the identity card,” said Mambosasa.

According to sources, the man stole an expensive designer shoe valued at over N20k. He made his case worse for himself when he resold the stolen bag at a mere N2k.

When caught by local soldiers, he was told to swim inside a gutter filled with trash and dirty water. The guilty party did not refuse – He swam. In worse places, the punishment for theft might be death in the hands of a mob.

Theft in Kenya is treated with utmost fury when the perpetrators are caught. Many times, the punishment is mob justice initiated by the public.

On a video making rounds last night, a thief escaping mob justice was apprehended by authorities. It is not clear who the authorities were from the video but they chose to humiliate the thief by making him dance.

The perpetrator escaped the beatings that would have rained down on him from the public only to meet a different form of punishment. He was handcuffed and forced to dance as instructed by his captors.

This guy was lucky. It’s not every day a thief escapes a mob and lives to dance about it.
