An elderly white man speaking Yoruba fluently has left many Nigerians in a surprised state after a video of him went viral.

He claimed he is a citizen of Nigeria and hails from Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

The white man identified himself as Yakubu Durojaiye, could be heard speaking Yoruba fluently as he had conversation with a Nigerian lady.

Durojaiye disclosed that he lived in Ilorin for two years, where he was a teacher and even proceeded to share his favorite Nigerian delicacies, which are Amala, Eba and egusi.

Seeing someone who might as well be anyone’s grandmother have to beg before she can eat is a reflection of how bad things are.

On the other hand, it is hilarious because who can’t identify a mannequin for crying out loud? The video was posted by Nigerian actor Chidi Mokeme on his Instagram page.
