Fetish Priest Remanded for Fraud
A fetish priest based in Tepa, Ashanti has been remanded in prison custody for fraud. The suspect was put before the Nkawie Circuit Court for defrauding a trader of the the sum of GHC 8,000.
The suspect, Isa Musah entered a guilty plea on his first appearance. He was ordered to be kept in custody. He will be put before the court on August 23rd for his sentencing.
The prosecutor handling the case explained that Musah met the complainant through a mutual friend. The suspect convinced the complainant that he could give him a pot which would be filled with gold in three days time.
He made the complainant part with an amount of GHC 8,000. The complainant on the agreed day opened the pot. To his dismay the pot was filled with stones instead of the gold promisef. A complaint was immediately made to the police who picked the suspect at his hideout.
