Outspoken Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Kwame Asare Obeng alias A Plus, who takes interest in politics and social issues in Ghana has said that it seems the NPP government prefer to appoint only criminals into government positions.

He said this in a radio interview on Neat FM. According to A Plus, he wished senior officials who have been beneficiaries of the fact that their parents made a lot of money because they were also once in government would forfeit their salaries for it to be used towards Ghana’s development.

He however notes that none of the government officials were willing to do that except Dr. Felix Anyah.

“Looking at the people dying at Korle-Bu, he decided to render his service and give back to the country despite his age,” A Plus heaped praise on Dr. Anyah.

He continued: “Yet he was sacked from his position. And what was his crime? I want someone from the NPP government to tell us the reason Dr. Anyah was fired.

Dismissing the reason that he was fired because of his age, A Plus cited the example of Kwame Owusu who, equally despite his age, was reassigned to another position from Ghana Maritime Authority.

“Meaning if you are not a criminal, they [NPP government] won’t employ you; you don’t want to steal with them”, A Plus said.

He concluded that “the issues is that Dr. Anyah was not a criminal which is why he was fired”.

A Plus publicly campaigned for the NPP in the run up to the 2016 elections.
