What A Country of Jokers: IGP Commissions New Elevator for CID

With each day passing, citizens of Ghana sees not to get enough of the jokes and mockery that are thrown at them from people in High Office.

Right from the presidency where the President seems to be superintending over a yet-to-be released video of promises purported to have been delivered with the caption “#ThankYouNanaAddo” to the Police administration where a whole CID boss looked straight into our eyes and lied about the whereabouts of the 3 missing Takoradi girls, we’re being suffocated by these jokes and insults that defy the norms of public service.

The latest to join this ongoing trend is the Acting IGP Oppong Bonuah who recently commissioned elevators at the CID headquarters in Accra with so much pomp and pageantry as if to say it’s a major achievement that could be compared to the joy families of the missing girls would express if their beloved daughters are found.

Present at the ceremony was the Director General of the CID COP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah. It appears this new development brought her so much joy as the celebration shot her to oblivion of what the masses demand of her – that she resigns due to her gross incompetence in handling the missing Takoradi girls’ case.

The CID headquarters is a 6 stores building located in the Capital city Accra. Construction started in 1979 and completed in the 1990s.
